<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Professional e-MTB photography and mountain bike video production featuring the Specialized Levo, pro rider Treyton Maskaly and technical Lake Tahoe terrain.</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/about/">Ryan Cleek</a></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are plenty of ways to make an e-mountain bike look good on camera. Making it look right to experienced mountain bikers is harder.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For this independent project with pro mountain bike racer Treyton Maskaly, I wanted to make a short film and accompanying photography around his Specialized Levo in the Lake Tahoe mountains. The goal wasn&#8217;t to make a conventional bike edit or a string of beauty shots. I wanted the bike to live inside a simple mountain bike story: see a line, put in the work, then ride it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The film starts with trailwork before much riding ever happens. That was intentional.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For riders who spend a lot of time in the mountains, building, maintaining and thinking about trails is part of the experience. It gave Treyton a reason to be there and gave the Specialized Levo a role in the story beyond simply being the product in front of the camera.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe loading="lazy" title="Specialized Levo eMTB Film | Treyton Maskaly Rides Lake Tahoe" width="1080" height="608" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ck1ZU0LZffo?feature=oembed"  allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><em>This sh</em></strong><em><strong>ort mountain bike film follows Treyton from digging, shaping, and reading the trail to riding fast, technical terrain in the Lake Tahoe mountains. It’s about earned speed, trail work, and what happens when the shovel gets put down and the ride begins. </strong>Starring <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tmaskaly15/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Treyton Maskaly</a>. Written, filmed, and edited by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/cleekndestroy/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Ryan Cleek</a></em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why E-Mountain Bike Video Production Has to Speak Mountain Bike First</strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/mountain-bike-photo-shoot-specialized-levo-lake-tahoe-1024x683.jpg" alt="Specialized Levo e-mountain bike descending a rocky trail in Lake Tahoe" class="wp-image-237375" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/mountain-bike-photo-shoot-specialized-levo-lake-tahoe-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/mountain-bike-photo-shoot-specialized-levo-lake-tahoe-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The e-MTB category has matured considerably. Bikes like the Specialized Levo are no longer interesting simply because they have a motor.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They are mountain bikes, and serious riders judge them accordingly. That changes how I approach e-mountain bike <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">video production</a> and <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">photography</a>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A knowledgeable mountain bike audience is looking at the terrain, the rider, body position, speed, suspension behavior, line choice and how the bike moves underneath the athlete. Put an inexperienced model on technical terrain, over-direct the action or choose a trail that doesn&#8217;t match the capability of the bike, and core riders see it immediately.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I&#8217;ve spent most of <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-ryan-cleek/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">my life</a> riding, racing, photographing and filming mountain bikes, including years working at worldwide mountain <a href="https://www.bikemag.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">bike</a> <a href="https://mbaction.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">magazines</a> as a staff writer and photographer, and as the Lead Creative Producer at <a href="https://www.specialized.com/us/en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Specialized Bicycle</a>s. That <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/about/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">background</a> affects countless decisions on a shoot that have very little to do with operating a camera.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I know what a good rider looks like on the bike. I know when a corner will photograph well but look slow in motion, or vice versa. I know when a section will work for a long lens, when getting close with a wide lens will create more speed, and when a technically difficult trail feature isn&#8217;t going to translate visually at all.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Those <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/create-authentic-mountain-bike-videos/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">details matter</a> when a marketing or creative director is trying to make a high-performance e-MTB credible to people who actually ride.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><strong>The Specialized Levo Is a Mountain Bike. Shoot It Like One.</strong></strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/commercial-e-mtb-photography-specialized-levo-tahoe-1024x683.jpg" alt="Specialized Levo e-mountain bike airborne during a Lake Tahoe mountain bike photo shoot" class="wp-image-237377" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/commercial-e-mtb-photography-specialized-levo-tahoe-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/commercial-e-mtb-photography-specialized-levo-tahoe-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the mistakes I see in e-bike imagery is making the electric aspect of the bike the entire story. Before we know it, e-MTBs are just going to be called MTBs&#8230;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For certain products that makes sense. For a performance e-MTB like the<a href="https://www.specialized.com/us/en/shop/bikes/electric-bikes/electric-mountain-bikes" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow"> Specialized Levo</a>, I think it can sell the bike short.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The motor and battery expand what the rider can do, but once the trail points downhill, the bike still needs to look composed, fast and capable. The riding needs aggression. Suspension needs to be working. Tires need to be loaded. The terrain needs enough consequence to show why the bike exists.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the same time, ignoring the uphill capability misses part of what separates an e-MTB from an analog bike.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That creates an interesting production challenge: show the advantages of the electric platform without turning the film into an obvious demonstration of pedal assist.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Technical climbing is much more useful to me than simply filming someone spinning up a fire road. A steep, rough climb can show traction, rider input, momentum and the ability to access terrain differently. Then the descending can take over and remind the viewer that this is still a serious mountain bike.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Good e-MTB marketing should be able to communicate both without beating the audience over the head with either one.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Building the Film Around Treyton Maskaly</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/e-mountain-bike-photography-lake-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="Specialized Levo action photo from an e-MTB production in the Lake Tahoe mountains" class="wp-image-237380" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/e-mountain-bike-photography-lake-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/e-mountain-bike-photography-lake-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Casting is one of the most important parts of mountain bike production.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Treyton can ride at a level that opens up creative possibilities. Instead of compromising camera positions around what the talent is capable of doing, I can look at a piece of trail and decide what would make the strongest image or sequence.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That means asking for the same technical line repeatedly. Hitting a corner faster because the first pass didn&#8217;t load the bike enough. Changing an entrance to improve body position. Riding through changing light while I move from a telephoto composition to something much closer and wider.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">High-level riders also understand why those repetitions matter. For this film, my job was to put the camera where his riding, the Levo and the terrain came together in the strongest way.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Lake Tahoe Works for E-Mountain Bike Production</strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-e-mountain-bike-photography-tah-1024x683.jpg" alt="Lake Tahoe e-mountain bike photography featuring a Specialized Levo on rocky terrain" class="wp-image-237382" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-e-mountain-bike-photography-tah-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-e-mountain-bike-photography-tah-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <a href="https://tamba.org/trails/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Lake Tahoe region</a> gives me an enormous range of mountain bike terrain within a relatively compact production area.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is exposed granite, loose decomposed dirt, forest, technical rock, high-speed trail, steep climbing and big mountain scenery. More importantly, it is real riding terrain.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For an e-MTB production, that diversity allows us to show several sides of a bike without making the imagery feel as though we jumped between unrelated locations just to check boxes on a shot list.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A wooded climbing section can transition naturally into exposed technical terrain. A trailwork sequence can lead directly into riding the finished line. Wide establishing shots can place the rider in the Sierra landscape, while tighter action photography can concentrate entirely on the bike and athlete.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Location isn&#8217;t just a backdrop. It should help explain the product. For this Specialized Levo video and photo shoot, Tahoe gives me terrain that looks worthy of the bike&#8217;s capability.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><strong>Shooting E-MTB Action: Photography and Cinematography</strong></strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-e-mtb-photo-shoot-lake-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Treyton Maskaly jumping a Specialized Levo e-MTB on a technical Lake Tahoe trail" class="wp-image-237384" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-e-mtb-photo-shoot-lake-tahoe-ryan-cleek-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-e-mtb-photo-shoot-lake-tahoe-ryan-cleek-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/mountain-bike/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mountain bike photography</a> and filmmaking ask for different things. A strong photograph can tell a complete story in one frame. A <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/adventure-sports-video-production/mountain-bike/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">film</a> has to build that story over dozens to thousands of shots.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Every Shot Still Has to Work as a Photograph</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My approach to cinematography, though, is very similar to how I approach photography. Every shot still needs strong composition, proper exposure, critical focus and a clear reason for the camera to be where it is. During this project, I told Treyton at one point that nearly every action shot we were filming could have worked as a strong still photograph.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That’s an important distinction for me. In my opinion, good cinematography isn’t just recording motion. Each shot should be strong enough to stand on its own, while also working as part of a larger sequence. That’s where cinematography starts to separate itself from simply capturing video.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the same time, both a great still photograph and the money shot in a mountain bike film can come down to a fraction of a second.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I’m looking for where the rider’s position is strongest, where the suspension loads into the terrain, when a tire starts to break loose, where the bike separates cleanly from the background and where the light hits the rider at exactly the right point in the trail. At the same time, I’m constantly reading the terrain and looking for the most interesting setting, angle and backdrop for the shot.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes the best position for the cinema camera isn’t the best place for the still camera. When I’m shooting photos, I’m often kneeling or even lying on the ground to get the angle I want. I still tend to shoot low when filming, whether handheld or on a tripod, but the camera is usually a little higher than it would be for a still photograph.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That&#8217;s why simply pulling frames from a finished film isn&#8217;t a substitute for dedicated e-MTB photography.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For a commercial production, I want the photo and video assets to feel as though they belong to the same campaign while still taking advantage of what each medium does best.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That gives a brand a much deeper library to work with: hero film, shorter edits, vertical video, high-resolution action photography, environmental images, lifestyle moments and tighter bike details that can all share the same creative direction.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><strong>Making the Bike Visible Without Making Every Shot an Advertisement</strong></strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-mountain-bike-photo-shoot-tahoe-1024x683.jpg" alt="Treyton Maskaly riding a Specialized Levo e-MTB on technical Lake Tahoe terrain
" class="wp-image-237387" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-mountain-bike-photo-shoot-tahoe-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-mountain-bike-photo-shoot-tahoe-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is another balance I pay close attention to on bike projects: product visibility.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The bike needs to be readable. Frame position, lighting, background and rider posture all matter. A beautiful piece of riding isn&#8217;t particularly useful to a bike company if the frame disappears into shadow or the product is obscured in every frame.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But the opposite can be just as damaging.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If every camera position is obviously designed around presenting the logo to the viewer, the riding starts looking staged.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The strongest mountain bike photography and video usually lives somewhere between those extremes. The product is unmistakable, but the action still feels like something a rider would want to do even if no camera were there.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That&#8217;s especially important with the Specialized Levo. It already has strong recognition within the e-MTB category. The imagery doesn&#8217;t need to yell that it&#8217;s a Levo every second. The film needs to make the viewer want to be on the bike.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Story First, Then the Shot List</strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="700" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-action-photography-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1-1024x700.jpg" alt="Specialized Levo e-mountain bike jump photographed on technical Tahoe terrain" class="wp-image-237388" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-action-photography-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-action-photography-tahoe-ryan-cleek-1-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mountain bike “shreddit” videos are fun, but in my opinion they’ve become so common that a lot of them start to feel disposable or interchangeable. Throughout my career, I’ve always tried to capture strong riding and action, but give it something more—a story, an idea or a reason for the viewer to stay with it. That’s been true whether I’m making a <a href="https://www.camzinkreachforthesky.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">feature-length film</a>, a <a href="https://youtu.be/cTibm2E9VjQ?si=98y21BSq4NaFcpmR" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">commercial project</a> or a short piece like this one.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The trail-building component gave this film something I think a lot of short-form bike marketing is missing: a reason for the riding.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Treyton wasn&#8217;t just standing at the top of a trail because the shoot schedule said it was time for an action sequence. The story had already established why this particular line mattered.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He saw it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He worked on it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then he rode it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That isn&#8217;t a complicated narrative, and it shouldn&#8217;t be. Mountain bike films don&#8217;t always need elaborate scripts to create an emotional connection.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes a small amount of context is enough to make the action mean more.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For a marketing director or creative director planning an e-MTB launch, campaign or rider film, that is worth considering. Product features still need to be communicated and deliverables still have specific jobs to do, but that doesn&#8217;t mean the final film has to feel like a product demonstration.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Give the rider a reason to ride and the bike a meaningful role in getting them there.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Featured by The Loam Wolf and Mountain Bike Action</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After the film was released, both The Loam Wolf and Mountain Bike Action picked up the project, publishing the video along with photography from the shoot. It was good to see the film reach two established mountain bike outlets, especially because both speak directly to the kind of experienced MTB audience I had in mind when making it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Loam Wolf:</strong> <em><a href="https://theloamwolf.com/videos/video-treyton-maskaly-rides-lake-tahoe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Treyton Maskaly Rides Lake Tahoe | Specialized Levo eMTB Film</a></em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>E-Mountain Bike Photography and Video Production for Bike Brands</strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-technical-descending-tahoe-photography-1024x683.jpg" alt="Commercial mountain bike photography featuring a Specialized Levo on rugged Tahoe trails" class="wp-image-237389" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-technical-descending-tahoe-photography-980x551.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/specialized-levo-technical-descending-tahoe-photography-480x270.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Specialized Levo project is a good example of how I like to approach e-MTB production: start with real riding, work with elite-level athletes who look natural on camera and can genuinely show what the bike is capable of, choose terrain that complements the product, then build the photography and cinematography around those elements.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why E-bike Photography and Video Production Needs to Feel Real</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/about/">Ryan Cleek</a></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Some products demand a studio. Others demand terrain.</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When <a href="https://gotrax.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">GoTrax </a>partnered with my company for e-bike photography and video production on the <a href="https://gotrax.com/products/f3-fat-tire-folding-ebike" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">F3 Fat Tire Folding E-Bike 2.0</a>, it was immediately clear this was not a product meant to live only under studio lights. The F3 is designed for versatility, everyday usability, and real-world riding conditions. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If imagery feels like “content,” it disappears. When it feels real, it lasts.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This project focused on creating authentic <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/e-bike/">e-bike photography</a> and <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/adventure-sports-video-production/e-bike/">electric vehicle video production</a> assets that could live across GoTrax’s website, e-commerce platform, and broader marketing channels. All photography and video assets featured on the GoTrax F3 product page were produced during this Tahoe-based shoot.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-E-Bike-Photography-and-Video-Production-Lake-Tahoe-1024x683.jpg" alt=" professional e-bike photography and video production for GoTrax in Lake Tahoe riding conditions

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><strong>The Strategy Behind the GoTrax F3 Shoot</strong></strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The goal of this production was to create a versatile library of professional photography and video assets that clearly communicate how the GoTrax F3 fits into real life.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Key objectives included:</strong></li>

<li>Highlighting fat tire stability and ride confidence</li>

<li>Showing the folding design in a functional, believable way</li>

<li>Creating imagery that feels authentic to everyday riders</li>

<li>Producing assets that scale across e-commerce, web, and digital marketing</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Electric-Bike-Lifestyle-Photography-GoTrax-F3-1024x683.jpg" alt="electric bike lifestyle photography showing GoTrax F3 used in real-world riding environments" class="wp-image-237267" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Electric-Bike-Lifestyle-Photography-GoTrax-F3-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Electric-Bike-Lifestyle-Photography-GoTrax-F3-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Lake Tahoe Was the Right Location</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Tahoe offers an honest visual language. Pavement, dirt roads, elevation, and changing light exist naturally within a small area. That diversity allowed us to show the F3 in multiple riding scenarios without forcing the narrative.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For electric vehicle and e-bike brands, location choice communicates product intent. A folding e-bike shown only in an urban alley tells one story. Showing that same bike transitioning naturally between pavement, bike paths, and dirt roads tells a much more complete approach.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Tahoe allowed the F3 to exist naturally in the environments it was designed for.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-F3-E-Bike-Action-Photography-1024x683.jpg" alt=" electric bike action photography capturing movement and ride feel of GoTrax F3" class="wp-image-237272" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-F3-E-Bike-Action-Photography-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-F3-E-Bike-Action-Photography-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Behind the Lens: Production Approach</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This was a hybrid photo and video shoot designed to maximize deliverables while maintaining a cohesive visual language across all assets.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Production considerations included:</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Shot planning based on marketing usage, not just aesthetics</li>

<li>Natural movement to communicate ride feel and stability</li>

<li>Clean product visibility without breaking lifestyle authenticity</li>

<li>Efficient capture to support web, e-commerce, and brand storytelling</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every frame was designed with end-use in mind, from homepage hero images to product detail sections and motion assets.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Fat-Tire-E-Bike-Riding-Photography--1024x683.jpg" alt=" fat tire electric bike photography showing stability and performance on mixed terrain" class="wp-image-237273" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Fat-Tire-E-Bike-Riding-Photography--980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Fat-Tire-E-Bike-Riding-Photography--480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Deliverables Designed for Immediate Marketing Use</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Strong photography and video production don’t stop at capture. For electric vehicle brands, how assets are delivered can be just as important as how they’re shot.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For the GoTrax F3 Fat Tire Folding E-Bike 2.0, all photography and video were delivered in high-resolution master formats suitable for long-term brand use, ecommerce, and future campaigns. Alongside those masters, we also provided a complete set of web-optimized and social-ready assets designed for fast, frictionless deployment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That included:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>High-resolution stills for product pages, press, and brand archives<br></li>

<li>Web-optimized images for fast-loading ecommerce and marketing pages<br></li>

<li>Social media–ready crops formatted for vertical Instagram and mobile-first platforms<br></li>

<li>Video deliverables optimized for both horizontal and vertical placements<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The intent is simple: deliver assets that retain professional composition and visual integrity while being immediately usable by marketing teams.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/E-Bike-Photography-for-Ecommerce-GoTrax-1024x683.jpg" alt="commercial e-bike photography highlighting fat tire design and product features. Pan shot action e-bike photography" class="wp-image-237287" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/E-Bike-Photography-for-Ecommerce-GoTrax-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/E-Bike-Photography-for-Ecommerce-GoTrax-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When photography and video are delivered this way, brands can move quickly without sacrificing quality. Assets drop directly into ecommerce layouts, paid campaigns, and social feeds while maintaining consistency across every channel.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For GoTrax, this meant visual assets that not only support the F3 product launch, but continue to perform across ongoing marketing initiatives — without additional rework or compromise.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="684" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-F3-Folding-E-Bike-Product-Photography-1-1024x684.jpg" alt=" electric bike product photography highlighting folding design and portability of blue GoTrax F3
" class="wp-image-237275" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-F3-Folding-E-Bike-Product-Photography-1-980x655.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/GoTrax-F3-Folding-E-Bike-Product-Photography-1-480x321.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Showing the Product Without Forcing It</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Electric vehicle photography requires balance. The product must be clear without feeling staged.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For the F3, that meant letting the bike move through space the way riders actually use it. No over-posing. No artificial moments. The fat tires, folding frame, and ride position communicate capability naturally when placed in the right environment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The visuals focused on what the bike enables, not just what it is.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why This Approach Works for E-Bike and EV Brands</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Professional e-bike photography and video production should create trust, not just attention.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Strong visuals:</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Help customers understand how a product fits into their life</li>

<li>Communicate performance without over-explaining</li>

<li>Build credibility through honest representation</li>

<li>Remain usable long after a campaign launch</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The photography and video assets from this shoot live directly on GoTrax’s F3 product page, supporting real purchasing decisions in real time.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Fat-Tire-E-Bike-Product-FOLDING-FRAME-Design-Photography-1024x683.jpg" alt="detailed electric bike photography showcasing components and build quality of GoTrax F3. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Ryan Cleek Productions Perspective</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We approach electric vehicle and e-bike production with the same philosophy used across outdoor, <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">cycling</a>, and action sports work for more than two decades.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>That philosophy is simple:</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Start with how the product is actually used.</li>

<li>Choose environments that reinforce that truth.</li>

<li>Create assets that scale across platforms.</li>

<li>Deliver visuals that feel authentic, usable, and timeless.</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This approach ensures brands receive more than content. They receive long-term marketing assets built on trust.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Why lived experience in the sport leads to stronger mountain bike marketing assets, more credible visual storytelling, and better commercial photography and video production</em></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/about/">Ryan Cleek</a></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mountain biking has always had a built-in bullshit filter for anything inauthentic. It began as a renegade sport, and that spirit still defines it today. The people who truly live it can spot a poser immediately. At its core, this is what mountain bike brand storytelling is supposed to do: build trust with riders who know the difference</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/professional-mountain-bike-photographer-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Ryan Cleek shooting mountain bike photography for global outdoor brands" class="wp-image-237208" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/professional-mountain-bike-photographer-ryan-cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/professional-mountain-bike-photographer-ryan-cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Mountain Bike Brand Storytelling Matters More Than Ever</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Riders know when something feels real and when it doesn’t.</strong> They know when a trail fits the bike, when an athlete belongs in the terrain, and when a moment was earned instead of manufactured. That’s one of the reasons I’ve always loved this sport. It doesn’t hand out credibility easily.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://mbaction.com/the-photographer-who-lived-the-sport-he-shoots" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><em>Mountain Bike Action</em></a> recently described me as one of mountain biking’s most respected photographers and filmmakers. I’m proud of that, but more importantly, I think it points to something marketing directors and creative directors I regularly work with already understand: in mountain biking, authenticity is not a bonus. It’s the baseline.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/trail-riding-mountain-bike-photography-brand-campaign-1024x683.jpg" alt="mountain bike marketing assets created by Ryan Cleek Productions
" class="wp-image-237210" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/trail-riding-mountain-bike-photography-brand-campaign-980x654.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/trail-riding-mountain-bike-photography-brand-campaign-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I didn’t come into this world as an outsider trying to learn its visual language from the sidelines. I came up through bikes, racing, media, and years of working inside the sport. Fresh out of college, I worked at <a href="https://mbaction.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><em>Mountain Bike Action</em></a> as a staff writer and photographer for more than a decade, appeared on the cover numerous times as an athlete, shot dozens of magazine covers, and continue to contribute worldwide mountain bike media. Over time, that foundation led to a broader career encompassing roles like the lead creative producer for <a href="https://www.specialized.com/us/en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Specialized Bicycles</a>, <a href="https://www.camzinkreachforthesky.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">documentary </a>filmmaking, and commercial photography and video production for global outdoor sports and action sports brands via my own <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">production company</a>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" data-id="237216" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/authentic-mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-photography-1024x683.jpg" alt="authentic commercial mountain bike photography for brand storytelling
" class="wp-image-237216" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/authentic-mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-photography-980x654.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/authentic-mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-photography-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>
</figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That experience matters because mountain bike marketing has a specific challenge. Brands do not just need beautiful images. They need credible marketing assets that hold up with core riders, support <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/create-authentic-mountain-bike-videos/">product launches</a>, and work across every channel where the audience encounters the brand.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is the kind of work Ryan Cleek Productions is built to <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/mountain-bike/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">deliver</a>.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Credibility Matters So Much in Mountain Bike Marketing</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Mountain bikers are not passive consumers. They are highly literate viewers.</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/commercial-mountain-bike-photography-ryan-cleek-productions-1024x683.jpg" alt="mountain bike photographer with deep experience in commercial and editorial production" class="wp-image-237213" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/commercial-mountain-bike-photography-ryan-cleek-productions-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/commercial-mountain-bike-photography-ryan-cleek-productions-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They notice line choice, body position, trail character, terrain accuracy, rider style, and whether the bike setup makes sense for the story being told. They may not always articulate why an image or video feels off, but they know when it does.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>That has real consequences for brands.</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>If the photography looks staged, the audience feels distance.</li>

<li>If the riding looks wrong, trust drops.</li>

<li>If the environment does not match the product, the message weakens.</li>

<li>If the campaign looks polished but disconnected from the sport, the work gets dismissed fast.</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In mountain biking, audiences do not reward brands for simply showing up. They respond when the work shows understanding.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is why authentic mountain bike <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/5-ways-a-professional-adventure-sports-photographer-will-boost-your-brand-image/">brand storytelling </a>matters so much. The goal is not just to present the product. The goal is to place it inside a believable world and let the audience feel that the brand actually knows who it is speaking to.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Difference Between Shooting Mountain Biking and Living It</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A lot of people can photograph a rider cruising down a trail. Shooting a decent, or at least serviceable, action photo is a low-hanging fruit in photography, especially with modern equipment.&nbsp; That is not the same thing as understanding mountain biking through living it and shooting for a living for over 20 years.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/outdoor-sports-photography-mountain-biking-campaign-1024x683.jpg" alt="trail riding photography created for commercial mountain bike campaigns" class="wp-image-237217" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/outdoor-sports-photography-mountain-biking-campaign-980x654.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/outdoor-sports-photography-mountain-biking-campaign-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is a difference between documenting action and knowing what makes the action meaningful. There is a difference between recognizing a striking landscape and knowing whether it makes sense for the bike, the rider, and the audience. There is a difference between making something look expensive and making it feel true.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because I have lived this sport for so long, I pay attention to details that matter to riders and, by extension, matter to the brands trying to reach them.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In photography, we get one frame to tell a story. For each shot, I’m looking at whether the terrain supports the category of bike. I’m thinking about whether the rider’s movement feels natural. I’m considering whether the visuals communicate speed, control, confidence, or exploration in a way that aligns with the product. I’m thinking beyond the single hero image to how the story will work as a complete set of mountain bike marketing assets.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>That’s the difference lived experience makes. It sharpens every decision before the shutter is pressed or the camera starts rolling.</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="mountain bike marketing assets created for product launches and campaigns" class="wp-image-237207" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-ryan-cleek-980x654.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/mountain-bike-brand-storytelling-ryan-cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Marketing Directors Need More Than a Camera Operator</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Most brands are not struggling because they lack imagery. They are struggling because they need the right imagery in the right formats with the right level of credibility.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Marketing teams today need assets that can do real work:</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>launch campaigns</li>

<li>website headers</li>

<li>ecommerce support</li>

<li>dealer and retailer use</li>

<li>social cuts</li>

<li>vertical formats</li>

<li>brand films</li>

<li>still photography that does not feel disconnected from the motion campaign</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>That means hiring a production partner who understands both creative execution and strategic use.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My role is not simply to show up with cameras. It is to help solve the visual side of a marketing problem.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That starts with understanding the brief, but it goes deeper than that. It means helping shape the production around what the product actually needs. It means scouting locations that support the story instead of just looking dramatic. It means working with riders who bring credibility to the frame. It means capturing photography and video production assets with continuity so the campaign feels cohesive from the homepage to the product page to social media.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/authentic-outdoor-brand-storytelling-mountain-bike-1024x683.jpg" alt="commercial mountain bike photography designed for ecommerce and brand use" class="wp-image-237222" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/authentic-outdoor-brand-storytelling-mountain-bike-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/authentic-outdoor-brand-storytelling-mountain-bike-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When that process is handled well, brands do not just get content. They get professional mountain bike photography and <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/adventure-sports-video-production/mountain-bike/">video production</a> that hold up under real scrutiny and retain value long after launch day.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>What Strong Mountain Bike Brand Storytelling Actually Does</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When mountain bike photography and video production are done well, the work creates trust before the audience reads a single line of copy.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>It shows the product in terrain that makes sense.</li>

<li>It shows riders who move like real riders.</li>

<li>It reveals product benefits through use instead of forcing them through messaging.</li>

<li>It creates emotional alignment between the brand and the rider.</li>

<li>It gives marketing teams assets that are useful, adaptable, and professionally built.</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>That is the job.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have always believed that the best commercial photography does not scream at the audience. It lets them come to the conclusion on their own. It gives them enough truth to recognize themselves in the story. In mountain biking, that approach matters even more because the audience has no patience for fake polish or borrowed credibility.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Brands that get this right stand out quickly.<br>Brands that do not tend to blend into the noise with forgettable imagery.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/downhill-mountain-bike-photography-commercial-shoot-1024x683.jpg" alt="mountain bike brand visuals created for real marketing applications" class="wp-image-237226" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/downhill-mountain-bike-photography-commercial-shoot-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/downhill-mountain-bike-photography-commercial-shoot-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>How Ryan Cleek Productions Approaches Commercial Mountain Bike Photography and Video Production</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ryan Cleek Productions exists at the intersection of cultural fluency and commercial execution.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My background spans editorial work, feature-length mountain bike films, branded content, commercial campaigns, and years inside major cycling and action sports media. That range is useful because the strongest brand work often draws from all of it. Few people bring this level of experience in writing, photography, and premium-level film production. That combination is the product of my life’s work.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><a href="https://www.bikemag.com/author/ryan-cleek" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Editorial</a> teaches you how to recognize the moment.</li>

<li><a href="https://youtu.be/eC7hCXGO7lc?si=R_PNzug3niDgL6Ag" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Documentary</a> filmmaking teaches you how to tell the truth through compelling story and imagery.</li>

<li><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxraOuG7jk" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Commercial production</a> teaches you how to turn those instincts into assets that solve a business problem.</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>That combination is what I bring to mountain bike brands.</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The process typically starts with understanding how the product is meant to live in the real world. From there, everything builds outward:</li>

<li>location scouting that makes sense for the category</li>

<li>rider casting that reflects the audience</li>

<li>shot planning that highlights real product benefit</li>

<li>delivery formats designed for modern marketing use</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I also place a lot of importance on how files are delivered. High-resolution masters matter, but so do web-optimized versions, vertical social crops, and ready-to-use marketing assets that allow teams to plug visuals directly into campaigns without sacrificing composition or quality. That part gets overlooked more often than it should, and it is one of the reasons many brands end up with strong raw material but inefficient final execution.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>My goal is always the same: create visual assets that feel credible to riders and genuinely useful to the marketing team.</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Lake-Tahoe-trail-riding-mountain-bike-photography-brand-campaign-1024x683.jpg" alt="natural light mountain bike photography in real-world environments" class="wp-image-237232" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Lake-Tahoe-trail-riding-mountain-bike-photography-brand-campaign-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Lake-Tahoe-trail-riding-mountain-bike-photography-brand-campaign-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Why Respect Inside the Sport Matters to Brands</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <em>Mountain Bike Action</em> feature was meaningful to me because it came from a place that shaped a huge part of my career. The magazine described me as one of mountain biking’s most respected photographers and filmmakers, and that kind of recognition carries weight because it comes from inside the culture, not outside of it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For brands, that matters.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Respect inside the sport signals that the work has been tested by a knowledgeable audience. It suggests the photographer or filmmaker has spent enough time in the trenches to understand more than surface-level aesthetics. It means the credibility wasn’t handed out by a generic creative industry award or a LinkedIn headline. It was earned through years of showing up and doing the work.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is important because the mountain bike audience can tell when a brand is borrowing culture instead of participating in it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When brands hire someone who has lived the sport, they reduce that risk.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/ryan-cleek-productions-mountain-bike-photography-1024x683.jpg" alt="Ryan Cleek Productions creating commercial mountain bike photography" class="wp-image-237233" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/ryan-cleek-productions-mountain-bike-photography-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/ryan-cleek-productions-mountain-bike-photography-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Bottom Line</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have spent my life around bikes, around athletes, around media, and around the strange and rewarding challenge of turning lived experience into images and films that mean something.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That background is a big reason why Ryan Cleek Productions is t<a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/clients/">rusted by brands</a> that need more than generic outdoor visuals. They need mountain bike photography and video production that feel accurate, credible, and strategically useful. They need marketing assets that support launches, campaigns, ecommerce, and long-term brand positioning without losing the soul of the sport in the process.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Mountain biking does not reward shortcuts.<br>Neither does good marketing.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When I photograph eyewear for action sports brands, I approach it with one core belief: <strong>eyewear isn’t credible unless it’s shown performing in the exact environments where athletes rely on it.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a commercial sports eyewear photographer, I’ve produced campaigns for brands like <a href="https://www.oakley.com/en-us" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Oakley</a>, <a href="https://tifosioptics.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Tifosi</a>, and <a href="https://shadyrays.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Shady Rays</a>, and my work always revolves around the same principles—real athletes, real terrain, real movement, and unpredictable outdoor conditions that demand clarity, protection, and confidence.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Eyewear isn’t just a product; it’s a performance tool. And to capture it honestly, the visuals must feel earned. Here’s how I create action-driven eyewear photography that outdoor brands can trust.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why I Photograph Eyewear With Real Athletes and Real Outdoor Terrain</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When I document <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/mountain-bike/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">mountain biking</a>, trail running, skiing, cycling, or <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">outdoor adventure</a>, I work with athletes who truly depend on their gear. Their movements, effort, and focus can’t be faked—and that authenticity makes the product look believable.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whether they’re:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Charging through technical singletrack<br></li>

<li>Running steep climbs and loose terrain<br></li>

<li>Navigating alpine ridgelines in harsh glare<br></li>

<li>Riding long road miles in shifting light<br></li>

<li>Skiing through wind and variable snow<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These are the real world scenarios where eyewear earns its reputation. Viewers immediately feel the legitimacy of those moments.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/pan-shot-eyewear-cycling-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="cycling eyewear photographer. road cycling pan shot by pro photographer Ryan Cleek" class="wp-image-237141" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/pan-shot-eyewear-cycling-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/pan-shot-eyewear-cycling-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How I Approach Sports Eyewear Photography in Outdoor Environments</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Terrain is never a backdrop—it’s part of the product story. Eyewear behaves differently depending on its environment, so I choose locations intentionally based on what the brand wants to highlight.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For example:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Dense forests:</strong> fast contrast transitions<br></li>

<li><strong>Desert sandstone:</strong> dust, harsh light, and heat<br></li>

<li><strong>High alpine slabs:</strong> intense glare and exposure<br></li>

<li><strong>Snow:</strong> reflection, wind, and flat light<br></li>

<li><strong>Urban:</strong> mixed shadow and reflective surfaces<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These environments organically reveal lens performance, stability, and purpose.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/moab-utah-mountain-biking-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="mtb eyewear photo shoot in moab, utah, by best mtb photographer Ryan Cleek" class="wp-image-237130" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/moab-utah-mountain-biking-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/moab-utah-mountain-biking-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Using Wide Scenes to Elevate Sports Eyewear Photography</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My eyewear shoots always begin with wide scenic action photos, even though the product isn’t the primary focus yet. This is intentional.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Scenic action sells the experience behind the product</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Brands don’t just need tight product shots—they need big, dramatic lifestyle visuals that capture what their customers love about being outside. Wide shots of athletes moving through epic terrain become:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Hero images<br></li>

<li>Website banners<br></li>

<li>Social storytelling<br></li>

<li>Catalog covers<br></li>

<li>Print ads<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These images anchor the campaign emotionally.</p>

</figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Athletes warm into natural movement</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Starting with wide action allows the athlete to fall into a natural rhythm. Once the motion becomes fluid and real, the product looks more authentic.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/gravel-cycling-eyewear-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="gravel cycling eyewear photoshoot in Lake Tahoe by Ryan Cleek" class="wp-image-237128" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/gravel-cycling-eyewear-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/gravel-cycling-eyewear-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. I then recompose for tight product-forward images</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As the athlete approaches, I quickly shift to mid- and telephoto focal lengths to capture:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Lens reflections in real light<br></li>

<li>Frame shape and fit<br></li>

<li>Dust, sweat, wind—real performance<br></li>

<li>Facial expression and intensity<br></li>

<li>How stable the eyewear is under speed<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The result is a full sequence: scenic → transitional → product-focused.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/tifosi-eyewear-mountain-bike-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="mountain bike eyewear photo shoot by Ryan Cleek in Moab, Utah." class="wp-image-237151" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/tifosi-eyewear-mountain-bike-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/tifosi-eyewear-mountain-bike-photoshoot-by-ryan-cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. The combination gives brands a complete visual toolkit</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wide shots show <em>why</em> the product exists. Tight shots show <em>how</em> it performs.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Capturing Product-Specific Eyewear Details in the Field</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even without studio lighting, I create product-specific images that highlight design, construction, and lens behavior—directly in real terrain.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Close-ups during breaks with dust, sweat, or natural light<br></li>

<li>Athletes adjusting eyewear, wiping lenses, or resetting gear<br></li>

<li>Environmental product shots on granite, soil, grass, or sandstone<br></li>

<li>Lens tints shown through real sunlight, shade, or reflection<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Everything is captured honestly, with real environmental interaction.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/eyewear-product-photography-shady-rays-1024x682.jpg" alt="shady rays eyewear photo shoot by Ryan Cleek" class="wp-image-237126" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/eyewear-product-photography-shady-rays-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/eyewear-product-photography-shady-rays-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Importance of On-Face Portraits in Sports Eyewear Photography</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Once action and product storytelling are captured, I shoot portraits and lifestyle frames that show how the eyewear actually looks on the athlete’s face.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These images convert because customers imagine themselves wearing the product.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How Motion Reveals Eyewear Performance Features</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Movement exposes the truth about eyewear, and I use that to the brand’s advantage.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Action footage shows:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Stability:</strong> no bounce or slip<br></li>

<li><strong>Protection:</strong> from debris, roost, branches, spray<br></li>

<li><strong>Lens clarity:</strong> in fast light changes<br></li>

<li><strong>Durability:</strong> under sweat, vibration, or impact<br></li>

<li><strong>Confidence:</strong> visible in the athlete’s expression and posture<br></li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Short-form video—Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts—is central here. Real motion communicates more than any product description can.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Action Sports Eyewear Brands Trust My Photography Workflow</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Outdoor athletes and customers value authenticity, and they recognize it immediately.<br>Brands work with me because:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Casting real athletes, not actors<br></li>

<li>Understanding the terrain intimately<br></li>

<li>Showing eyewear in honest, demanding environments<br></li>

<li>Combining scenic action, lifestyle, and tight product shots<br></li>

<li>Delivering complete, cohesive visual packages<br></li>

<li>Nothing is staged—the moments are real<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Eyewear earns its credibility in real outdoor conditions. That’s where I shoot it, and that’s where it looks its best.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How Outdoor Brand Photography Drives Business Results</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Outdoor brand <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/">photography</a> is no longer just about capturing product—it’s about building trust through authentic visual storytelling. In the outdoor and action sports industry, audiences expect real athletes, real terrain, and real experiences.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If it’s just “content,” it evaporates. If it’s created with purpose, intention, and expertise, visual storytelling becomes the single most powerful way outdoor <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/clients/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">brands</a> earn trust.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Authentic-Outdoor-Brand-Photography-by-Ryan-Cleek-skiing-1024x683.jpg" alt="Outdoor brand photography of backcountry skiier in Lake Tahoe for commercial campaign" class="wp-image-237093" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Authentic-Outdoor-Brand-Photography-by-Ryan-Cleek-skiing-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Authentic-Outdoor-Brand-Photography-by-Ryan-Cleek-skiing-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With more than 20 years in outdoor sports media — from global creative leadership roles to award-winning documentary filmmaking and commercial and editorial photography — Ryan Cleek Productions has helped outdoor brands connect with audiences who demand credibility. And that credibility begins with storytelling built on honesty.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Commercial Outdoor Photography Outperforms Traditional Advertising</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Outdoor consumers don’t just buy products — they buy into experiences, lifestyles, and the promise that your brand understands their world.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust forms when:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The visuals match the reality of the environment<br></li>

<li>The athletes look like they belong there<br></li>

<li>The product is being used the way it was designed to be used<br></li>

<li>The story aligns with the sport, conditions, and culture<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This isn’t marketing theory. This is behavioral psychology. When visuals reflect the truth, audiences lean in. When visuals feel staged, overly sanitized, or “agency-manufactured,” audiences check out — instantly.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Your visuals are the fastest way to signal:&nbsp; <strong>“We get you. We are you. You can trust us.”</strong></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How Outdoor Brand Photography Builds Trust With Modern Audiences</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust is earned visually long before a customer compares specs, reads reviews, or scrolls through product pages. Outdoor audiences are trained to see nuance — they’ve spent their lives watching the weather, reading terrain, and making real-time decisions outside.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Prior to founding Ryan Cleek Productions in 2019, Ryan was a staff writer, photographer, and filmmaker for worldwide mountain bike <a href="https://mbaction.com/the-photographer-who-lived-the-sport-he-shoots/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">magazines</a>; and was the Lead Creative Producer for two of the world’s largest outdoor brands. The culmination of those experiences has taught him what is required to take a product from idea to execution, and also how to reach its target audience through engaging and cinematic creative content and authentically dynamic marketing assets.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This means they can instantly spot:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Actors pretending to be athletes<br></li>

<li>Scenes that don’t match the gear’s intended use<br></li>

<li>Shots that feel too polished to be real<br></li>

<li>Landscapes that don’t match the sport’s identity<br></li>

<li>Body language that doesn’t reflect experience<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust happens when the visuals are honest — when the viewer doesn’t have to “suspend disbelief” to buy into your message.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And that only happens when brands work with crews who <em>deeply</em> understand the sport, the lifestyle, and the people living it.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Common Visual Mistakes That Quietly Undermine Trust</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even respected outdoor brands — ones with massive budgets and good intentions — often fall into avoidable traps. These include:</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Using generic outdoor settings</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pretty scenery is not enough. Great landscapes tell the wrong story when they’re not the landscape your customer actually uses the product in. Based in Reno, NV, we typically shoot in the scenic, yet rugged, Lake Tahoe region, however travel as needed for projects.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="673" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Gravel-bike-bikepacking-cycling-photographer-ryan-cleek-1024x673.jpg" alt="Woman riding gravel bike going fast in green meadow. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Casting talent who don’t live the lifestyle</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Audiences can tell instantly. A non-skier pretending to drop into a run is as obvious as a fake cyclist on a staged “corner.” A mountain biker whose feet, elbows, and body position show inexperience creates an instant loss of credibility for the bike brand who casts such a rider.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/1-Professional-Mountain-Bike-Photographer-Lake-Tahoe-1024x683.jpg" alt="mountain bike photo shoot in Truckee, CA. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Highlighting features instead of experiences</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust is emotional, not technical. Show what the product enables, not just what it&#8217;s made of.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/1-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Fly-fishing-1024x683.jpg" alt="Keys to outdoor brand success. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Creating visuals for a single channel</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If your imagery only fits a hero video and doesn’t scale across social, retail, web, or community channels, it creates inconsistency — and inconsistency erodes trust.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Over-manufacturing “epic” shots</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Epic is great… when it’s real. Audiences don’t want every frame to feel like a movie trailer. They want moments that feel lived—not fabricated.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Each of these missteps quietly chips away at the credibility you’ve worked hard to build.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Brandon-Semenuk-Red-Bull-Rampage-photo-1024x683.jpg" alt="brandon semenuk 2021 winning run red bull rampage. <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How Visual Storytelling Actually Builds Trust</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust is cumulative. It’s built from repeated exposure to visuals that feel honest, relatable, and culturally informed.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here&#8217;s how high-quality outdoor photography and film production earn trust organically:</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Showing real environments</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Outdoor consumers buy gear for conditions, not commercials. Filming in real terrain — from sand to snow to alpine rock — immediately signals authenticity.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/6-adventure-sports-photographer-1024x683.jpg" alt="Pro endurance cyclist, Tyler Pearce, on his Canyon gravel bike in the Yosemite area as a wildfire burns in the distance. Photo by Ryan Cleek</figcaption></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Casting athletes and talent with credibility</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People trust people who mirror their lifestyle. Real athletes bring real technique, body position, energy, and personality — things you can&#8217;t fake.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Mountain-Bike-Photography-Ryan-Cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Mountain biker Amy Morrison in Virginia City, NV. Photo by Ryan Cleek for <a href="https://www.polygonbikes.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Polygon bikes</a>. </figcaption></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Designing shots that highlight experience, not theatrics</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Camera language matters. Framing, movement, pacing, and composition all subtly communicate: <strong>“This is how it actually feels.”</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Capturing product performance in context</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust grows when visuals show product benefits in the environment they’re designed for — not in controlled, sterile situations.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. Maintaining consistent visual identity</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust loves consistency. Mixed visual quality across channels communicates confusion; consistent excellence communicates leadership.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What Brands Look for in an Outdoor Photographer</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust is earned through a combination of culture fluency, technical mastery, and lived experience. And that’s exactly where <strong>Ryan Cleek Productions</strong> stands out.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With more than two decades in the outdoor sports world — including directing feature-length documentaries, leading global creative teams, and producing editorially authentic photography on trails, mountains, deserts, and backcountry terrain — we bring a level of understanding that can’t be manufactured.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our approach includes:</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Purpose-driven location scouting</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We choose landscapes that reflect the sport, the product, and the audience — never generic locations.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/5-Professional-Mountain-Bike-Photographer-Lake-Tahoe-1024x683.jpg" alt="Authentic bicycle Brand Storytelling. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Credible athlete and talent casting</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People who live the lifestyle bring an honesty that resonates in every frame.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Lake-Tahoe-Mountain-bike-Photographer-Stumpjumper-Photoshoot-1024x683.jpg" alt="LAke Tahoe mountain bike photographer Ryan Cleek. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Strategic shot planning</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every shot is designed to support the product’s intended use, benefits, and emotional resonance.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Middle-LO_CLK6137_Ryan-Cleek-road-cycling-photographer-1024x683.jpg" alt="Fast road cyclist with read glasses and jersey. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Multi-platform deliverables</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hero films, social verticals, still photography, short-form cuts, dealer assets — all created with consistency and longevity.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>5. A culture-first mindset</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We don’t just film outdoor sports. We live them. And that authenticity is visible in every frame.</p>

</div></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How Outdoor Brands Can Turn Visual Trust Into Brand Loyalty</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Visual trust compounds. When consumers see themselves — and their world — reflected honestly, loyalty develops naturally.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust accelerates:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Brand recall<br></li>

<li>Word-of-mouth<br></li>

<li>Long-term customer relationships<br></li>

<li>Higher perceived value<br></li>

<li>Higher conversion rates<br></li>

<li>Repeat purchases<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When a brand shows up visually with credibility and consistency, the audience doesn’t just see the product — they believe the brand.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That belief is the foundation of loyalty.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/3-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-1024x683.jpg" alt="Shady Rays eyewear running photo shoot. <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Bottom Line</strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Adventure and Action Sports Photography for Brand Growth</strong></h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And truth is communicated visually — through authentic photography, credible athletes, real environments, strategic creative direction, and storytelling anchored in lived experience.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At Ryan Cleek Productions, we don’t chase “content.” We create cinematic outdoor storytelling grounded in expertise, authenticity, and deep cultural understanding — the kind that builds trust and loyalty with audiences who know the difference.</p>

The new 2024 Liv Pique 29 Advanced is one of those bikes. When The Radavist asked me to photograph it for their <a href="https://theradavist.com/2024-liv-pique-29-advanced-review" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">review</a>, I wanted to approach it the same way I approach any editorial project: keep it real, keep it rider-focused, and let the rider and terrain tell the story.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This project gave me the chance to blend some of my favorite parts of mountain bike photography—fast action, technical details, and excellent Lake Tahoe-area terrain.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That combination lets you understand the bike without reading a single line of text.</p>

</figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Finding the Story in Real Terrain</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whenever I shoot a new bike, I try to anchor it in the terrain it was built for. For the Liv Pique, that meant choosing trails with a mix of tight corners, rolling descents, and punchy climbs—places where the suspension, geometry, and rider dynamics are easy to read in-camera.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With every project, a lot of time goes into pre-production planning and location scouting to determine the best shots at the ideal locations and at the best time of day.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I look for moments where:<br></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The rider’s body position shows total control<br></li>

<li>Natural backlight gives the rider shape and depth<br></li>

<li>The trail features to bring out the bike’s ideal intended use<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That combination lets you understand the bike without reading a single line of text.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="Liv pique mountain bike photo shoot by Ryan Cleek - Lake Tahoe mountain bike trails" class="wp-image-237084" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-1080x720.jpg 1080w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-1280x853.jpg 1280w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-480x320.jpg 480w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1-600x400.jpg 600w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Outdoor-MTB-lifestyle-photo–Liv-Pique-Ryan-Cleek-1.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Making the Bike the Hero</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mountain bike action photography is all about anticipating motion. I’ll study a section of trail, watch how the rider rolls through it, and then build the shot around the location and terrain to most compelling story.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For this shoot, I prioritized:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Timeless composition that reveals the location and bike’s intended use<br></li>

<li>Technical uphill shots that reveal climbing performance and traction<br></li>

<li>Descending sequences that demonstrate stability, suspension performance, and handling characteristics</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Liv-Pique-Photoshoot-Lake-Tahoe-MTB-Ryan-Cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Liv pique mountain bike photo shoot by Ryan Cleek - Lake Tahoe mountain bike trails" class="wp-image-237082" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Liv-Pique-Photoshoot-Lake-Tahoe-MTB-Ryan-Cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Liv-Pique-Photoshoot-Lake-Tahoe-MTB-Ryan-Cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Detail Photography: Precision Outside the Studio</strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Liv-Pique-29-Advanced-review-photo-by-Ryan-Cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Liv Pique carbon mountain bike photography by Ryan Cleek" class="wp-image-237073" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Liv-Pique-29-Advanced-review-photo-by-Ryan-Cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Liv-Pique-29-Advanced-review-photo-by-Ryan-Cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even though the location is outdoors, I approach bike and detail photography the same way I would in a controlled studio environment and utilize much of the same studio lighting gear for these product photos. Review readers—and potential buyers—study these images closely, so they have to be clean, intentional, and technically accurate.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For the Liv Pique, I captured:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Suspension kinematics and linkage design<br></li>

<li>Carbon shaping and frame details<br></li>

<li>Drivetrain components<br></li>

<li>Cable routing and cockpit setup<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Using natural light modifiers, strobes and soft boxes, subtle fill, and controlled angles, this blend of studio precision and real-world texture is a big part of my style.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Rider-descending-on-Liv-Pique-MTB-photography-by-Ryan-Cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Liv pique mountain bike photo shoot by Ryan Cleek - Lake Tahoe mountain bike trails" class="wp-image-237086" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Rider-descending-on-Liv-Pique-MTB-photography-by-Ryan-Cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Rider-descending-on-Liv-Pique-MTB-photography-by-Ryan-Cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Quality MTB Photography Matters</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Great mountain bike photography does more than show a new product—it builds credibility. Riders make decisions based on what they feel when they look at a bike, and brands rely on that connection to launch products, shape identity, and communicate engineering without overwhelming riders with tech jargon.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After 20+ years of specializing in mountain bike photography, I understand how to evaluate bikes, locations, and athletes both visually and emotionally. That’s why brands trust me with:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Launch campaigns<br></li>

<li>Editorial features<br></li>

<li>Rider stories<br></li>

<li>Studio and product photography<br></li>

<li>High-end mountain bike video production<br></li>

<li>Catalog and ad work<br></li>

<li>Backcountry and trail adventure documentation<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every image should feel alive, relatable, and authentically rooted in the sport.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Professional-Mountain-bike-photographer-Live-Pique-Photoshoot-Ryan-Cleek-1024x683.jpg" alt="Liv pique mountain bike photo shoot by Ryan Cleek - Lake Tahoe mountain bike trails" class="wp-image-237085" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Professional-Mountain-bike-photographer-Live-Pique-Photoshoot-Ryan-Cleek-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Professional-Mountain-bike-photographer-Live-Pique-Photoshoot-Ryan-Cleek-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How Professional Action Sports Photography and Video Production Build Credibility, Inspire Audiences, and Drive Brand Growth</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Action sports audiences are the most discerning in the world — and the hardest to fool. Skaters, mountain bikers,&nbsp; snowboarders, surfers, BMX riders, and motocross fans can spot inauthenticity instantly. If it’s just called “content,” it’s forgettable. When created with purpose, intention, and expertise, action sports <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">photography</a> and <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">video production</a> become storytelling tools that inspire loyalty, ignite emotion, and stand the test of time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The action sports brands that win in 2026 will be those that create visuals born from the culture itself — real moments, real risk, and real talent.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At Ryan Cleek Productions, this is where we live. With more than two decades of experience in global photography and film production — and roots deeply tied to the action and outdoor sports world — we create cinematic campaigns that feel authentic because they are authentic.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe loading="lazy" title="Cam Zink&amp;apos;s Bike Brand, Zink Bikes, Launch Video" width="1080" height="608" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZdvXP5V9G98?feature=oembed"  allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Authentic Storytelling Defines Action Sports Marketing</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In action sports, authenticity isn’t a choice — it’s a prerequisite. These audiences value progression, individuality, and truth. Anything staged or corporate-sounding breaks the connection immediately.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Participants know the difference.</strong> They see when a trick is performed naturally versus staged for camera safety.<br></li>

<li><strong>They read subtle cues.</strong> Stance, environment, and gear placement all signal cultural accuracy.<br></li>

<li><strong>They value credibility.</strong> Using real athletes and community-connected creatives creates lasting resonance.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Authentic storytelling means translating the energy, style, and fearlessness of action sports into a brand narrative. It’s not about controlling the chaos — it’s about capturing it with purpose.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/3-Professional-Freeride-Mountain-Bike-Photoraphy-1024x683.jpg" alt="HAyden zablotny red bull rampage champion. photo by ryan cleek" class="wp-image-236983" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/3-Professional-Freeride-Mountain-Bike-Photoraphy-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/3-Professional-Freeride-Mountain-Bike-Photoraphy-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Where Action Sports Campaigns Lose Impact</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even the most established brands can miss the mark when production decisions stray from authenticity. Common pitfalls include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Casting talent outside the core culture</strong>, which instantly erodes trust.<br></li>

<li><strong>Safe, predictable visuals</strong> that fail to capture the intensity, skill, and artistry the audience expects.<br></li>

<li><strong>Limited asset diversity</strong>, producing one hero edit while neglecting vertical, social, or behind-the-scenes storytelling.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Each of these weakens the campaign’s ability to connect with the action sports audience — a community that rewards truth and punishes imitation.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Storytelling That Captures Movement and Meaning</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Professional <strong>action sports photography and video production</strong> transform motion into meaning, showing what the sport — and the product — truly represent.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How Authentic E-Bike Photography and Video Production Showcase Innovation, Build Rider Trust, and Drive Brand Growth</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marketing leaders in the e-bike industry face a unique challenge: how to stand out in a rapidly growing market while earning the trust of riders who instantly sense what’s authentic. If it’s just called “content,” it’s forgettable. When produced with purpose, intention, and expertise, <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/commercial-photography/adventure-sports-photography/e-bike/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">e-bike photography</a> and <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/adventure-sports-video-production/e-bike/" data-type="link" data-id="https://ryancleekproductions.com/video-production/adventure-sports-video-production/e-bike/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">video production</a> create timeless brand assets that resonate with riders and commuters worldwide.<br></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The e-bike brands that win in 2026 will be the ones that show their products in real environments — powering climbs, extending range, and integrating naturally into everyday life.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At Ryan Cleek Productions, we understand that trust drives sales. With decades of experience in commercial cycling photography and film production — and deep roots in outdoor and action-sports culture — we create visuals that highlight performance, technology, and authenticity in equal measure.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe loading="lazy" title="GoTrax F3 E-Bike Commercial" width="1080" height="608" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KzyNEdJVetY?feature=oembed"  allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Authentic E-Bike Storytelling Builds Credibility</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The e-bike audience is broad — commuters, explorers, and enthusiasts alike — yet all share one expectation: credibility.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Riders recognize real performance. They can tell when power assist is genuinely tested, not simulated.<br></li>

<li>They read details. Battery integration, component choice, and riding posture all speak to engineering quality.<br></li>

<li>They value relatable experience. Visuals that mirror real rides — from city streets to alpine passes — form an emotional connection.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Authentic storytelling doesn’t just show a product; it demonstrates what the product empowers people to do. When photography and video align with the lived experiences of your riders, you move beyond features — you communicate purpose.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/ebike-photography-1200x800-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="Person riding ebike in city landscape" class="wp-image-229878" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/ebike-photography-1200x800-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/ebike-photography-1200x800-1-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/ebike-photography-1200x800-1-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Where E-Bike Campaigns Lose Impact</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even innovative e-bike brands can fall short when visuals don’t match their product story. Common pitfalls include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Generic urban backdrops that miss the lifestyle or performance message.<br></li>

<li>Mismatched riders — casual models on high-performance bikes, or pro athletes on commuter builds.<br></li>

<li>Safe, sterile visuals that fail to highlight unique design or technology.<br></li>

<li>One-channel campaigns that ignore how modern audiences consume media across digital, retail, and social touchpoints.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Each of these erodes a campaign’s ability to communicate why your bike matters — and how it fits seamlessly into riders’ lives.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe loading="lazy" title="Commercial for Velotric&#039;s Nomad E-bike" width="1080" height="608" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/feQeJyKwrms?feature=oembed"  allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Storytelling That Showcases Product Innovation</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Professional e-bike photography and video production translate technology into stories riders immediately understand.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Composed shots with intention focus on benefits such as effortless climbs, extended range, and smooth motor engagement.<br></li>

<li>Editing with purpose shapes emotion — fast pacing for performance e-MTBs, relaxed rhythm for commuter or lifestyle models.<br></li>

<li>Close, deliberate framing highlights design integration, motor craftsmanship, and premium materials.<br></li>

<li>Multiple formats and perspectives ensure consistency across social, digital, retail, and event marketing.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When visuals communicate how your technology <em>feels</em> rather than just how it looks, you elevate the product from machinery to experience.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Professional-E-Bike-ebike-photography-1024x683.jpg" alt="e-bike photo shoot for Dirwin ebikes in LAke Tahoe, california. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Business Case for Professional E-Bike Production</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Partnering with an experienced commercial e-bike photographer and video team yields measurable business results:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Iconic imagery: Strategic location scouting, authentic rider casting, and precise shot planning deliver campaign-defining visuals.<br></li>

<li>Credibility: Consumers engage longer when the story reflects real riders in believable conditions.<br></li>

<li>Efficiency: Expert crews capture a complete suite of assets — hero film, social cuts, and stills — within a single, well-planned production window.<br></li>

<li>Longevity: Authentic visuals remain relevant across multiple seasons and product releases.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">High-quality production isn’t an expense; it’s an investment in brand trust and long-term growth.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Authentic MTB Storytelling Matters for Brands</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>In mountain biking, authenticity is everything.</strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Riders know terrain.</strong> They can spot the difference between a hand-built alpine singletrack and a generic bike-park berm, and most certainly when AI is used to generate a rider on a trail.<br></li>

<li><strong>They know equipment.</strong> Does the bike match the terrain and intended riding style? Does the gear match the style of riding being performed? Is the bike outfitted with real-world accessories to indicate the riders are truly out on a backcountry adventure?<br></li>

<li><strong>They know athletes.</strong> Body language, style, and kit all signal credibility. When it comes to securing talent for our MTB shoots, we scrutinize every aspect of riding style: hand and foot position, elbow position, head and eye position, and if the rider is attacking or passively a passenger. These details in body position are what avid riders subconsciously recognize and use to acknowledge legitimacy or discredit bicycle brand marketing assets.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>When visuals don’t match reality, audiences cringe, ignore, and disengage.</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Authentic <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC7hCXGO7lc" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">mountain bike storytelling</a>, by contrast, highlights how a product really performs in the hands of qualified talent. Done well, professional mountain bike photography and video production drive trust, loyalty, and measurable engagement.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Where Mountain Bike Campaigns Lose Impact</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even established MTB brands sometimes miss opportunities when visuals don’t align with the story of the product. Common pitfalls include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Safe visuals</strong> — not pushing the limits of visual creativity to keep viewers’ attention. Anyone can make an action video, but shooting and editing with intention to highlight the benefits and features of a unique technology is what separates marketing assets that truly deliver for a bike brand from the ubiquitous white noise of everyday “content</li>
</ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Single-format assets</strong> — focusing on a hero film or ad without producing the full suite of digital, social, and retail deliverables.</li>
</ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Generic trail locations</strong> that don’t resonate with riders or the culture.</li>
</ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Mismatched riders</strong> whose style doesn’t reflect the intended audience or use of the bike category</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Each of these weakens a campaign’s ability to show why a bike matters — and why the riders of your target audience should care.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Storytelling That Elevates Your Bike’s unique Features &amp; benefits</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Professional mountain bike photography and video production do more than entertain; they transform features into experiences.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Composed shots with intention</strong> draw attention to specific benefits: suspension in rough terrain, braking precision on steep descents, or traction climbing over roots.<br></li>

<li><strong>Editing with purpose</strong> keeps energy aligned with the category — quick, dynamic pacing for freeride energy, smoother pacing for endurance riding and backcountry storytelling.<br></li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Multiple formats and angles</strong> ensure your assets work across platforms — from Instagram reels to retail displays.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Authentic Outdoor Lifestyle Photography and Video Production Build Brand Trust and Audience Loyalty</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marketing leaders in the outdoor sports industry and action sports world face an ongoing challenge: how to cut through a flood of so-called “content” and reach audiences who can instantly tell the difference between staged and authentic. If it’s just called “content,” it’s forgettable. When created with purpose, intention, and expertise, outdoor lifestyle photography and action sports video production deliver timeless assets that resonate with audiences worldwide. The brands that win in 2026 will be the ones that show their products in real use, in real environments, and in ways that feel true to the culture. That&#8217;s where we can help.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ryan Cleek Productions</a>, this is what we do every day — combining decades of photography and filmmaking expertise with a lived understanding of the sports and lifestyles your brand serves. We’ve learned a lot over the years of creating video and photography marketing assets for leading outdoor lifestyle and action sports <a href="https://ryancleekproductions.com/clients/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://ryancleekproductions.com/clients/" rel="noreferrer noopener">brands</a> and have compiled key aspects of those experiences in this post.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-1024x683.jpg" alt="Running eyewear photo shoot for Shady Rays sunglasses" class="wp-image-236958" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Why Authenticity is Non-Negotiable</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In outdoor sports and lifestyle culture, audiences are hypersensitive to credibility. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxraOuG7jk" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxraOuG7jk" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Mountain bikers</a> know if a trail is believable. Climbers can spot if gear is staged. Skiers recognize if a turn is forced. When the imagery doesn’t match reality, trust is broken.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Authentic visual storytelling earns that trust. It’s not just about creating beautiful marketing assets; it’s about aligning the story of your product with the lived experience of your audience. Done right, this type of storytelling strengthens brand loyalty and drives measurable results. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/LO_CLK7977R.Cleek-Shady-Rays-Action-Lifestyle-Export-782025-1024x683.jpg" alt="Cycling eyewear photo shoot for Shady Rays sunglasses" class="wp-image-236965" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/LO_CLK7977R.Cleek-Shady-Rays-Action-Lifestyle-Export-782025-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/LO_CLK7977R.Cleek-Shady-Rays-Action-Lifestyle-Export-782025-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Where Outdoor Campaigns Lose Impact</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even strong brands sometimes miss opportunities when visuals don’t align with the product story. A few common pitfalls include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Generic locations</strong> that don’t connect to the sport’s culture or audience.<br></li>

<li><strong>Mismatched talent</strong> that doesn’t reflect the credibility of real athletes or enthusiasts.<br></li>

<li><strong>Safe visuals</strong> that capture the moment but don’t communicate what makes the product different.<br></li>

<li><strong>Assets designed for one channel only</strong>, leaving gaps across social, retail, and digital platforms.<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Each of these weakens the campaign’s ability to highlight a product’s benefits in ways that resonate with the people most likely to buy it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/1-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-1024x683.jpg" alt="Runny eyewear photo shoot in Truckee, California, for Shady Rays sunglasses" class="wp-image-236960" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/1-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/1-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Running-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Storytelling That Elevates the Product</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Authentic outdoor sports video and photography assets do more than entertain — they translate product benefits and features into experiences the audience believes.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Composing shots with intention draws the viewers&#8217; eyes to the key aspect of the experience or product<br></li>

<li>Editing with purpose keeps the audience engaged, entertained, and informed<br></li>

<li>Close, deliberate framing highlights material quality and design details<br></li>

<li>Multiple angles and deliverable formats provide flexibility for digital, print, and retail needs<br></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When camera language is built around the product’s <strong>real-world performance</strong>, the audience doesn’t just see it — they feel its value.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Fly-fishing-1024x683.jpg" alt="Fly fishing photo shoot for Dirwin E-bikes" class="wp-image-236970" srcset="https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Fly-fishing-980x653.jpg 980w, https://ryancleekproductions.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/2-Authentic-Visual-Storytelling-Outdoor-Brand-Success-Fly-fishing-480x320.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Business Case for Professional Outdoor Production</strong></h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Brand decision-makers don’t invest in photos and video for aesthetics alone. They invest in results. How our professional production delivers:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Iconic imagery</strong>: Scouting locations, casting talent, and shoot planning are the ingredients that deliver timeless images and assets<br></li>

<li><strong>Credibility:</strong> Audiences engage longer when the visuals reflect the authentic use of the product in the hands of capable athletes on the proper terrain<br></li>

<li><strong>Efficiency:</strong> Experienced crews capture a full suite of deliverables (hero film, vertical edits, stills) in the same production window which delivers continuity among all photography and video assets</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>OuR Checklist for Your Next Campaign</strong></h2>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Does the environment reflect where your audience actually uses the product?</strong><strong><br></strong></li>

<li><strong>Are athletes or talent a credible match for your sport and community?</strong><strong><br></strong></li>

<li><strong>Do camera moves showcase how the product performs under real conditions?</strong><strong><br></strong></li>

<li><strong>Does the imagery highlight features and benefits naturally — not as forced placements?</strong><strong><br></strong></li>

<li><strong>Will the assets adapt across social, retail, and digital channels?</strong><strong><br></strong></li>

<li><strong>Does the overall story align with the lifestyle your brand stands for?</strong><strong><br></strong></li>
